Our friend Patrick Dupree sent this note over about Lights Out claiming its second straight John D. Fuller RAC adult league title...
On Tuesday evening, the John D. Fuller Sr Recreational/Athletic Complex held its Winter Adult League Championship game, and what a game it was.
The defending champion, team Lights Out, defeated the Carolina Reign 145-143 in quadruple overtime.
Yes, after the Carolina Reign were down 22 midway through the 3rd quarter, led by Corey Johnson's 32 points, it took Lights Out and all of leading scorer Rodrick Brown's 35 points and 4 overtime periods to win its second championship in a row.
Out of the 14 teams in the league, the second seeded Lights Out are once again winners of the championship rings given by the league.
"On behalf of the John D. Fuller Sr. RAC we would like to thank all the players and coaches who competed in our winter league," league coordinator Patrick Dupree said.
